The Friends of Hahamongna have been nominated for this year's Thorny Rose Award by the organizers of the Doo Dah Parade. We were only notified last week but some of us are planning to march and a friend of mine suggested that we should be accompanied by a synchronized branch drill team (to symbolize the trees and nature in Hahamongna). I thought that was a clever idea - of course at this late date it won't be very synchronized but that's part of the fun!
Would you be interested in being part of the drill team (don't worry about the marching part of it - the goofier we look the better) and/or do you know some folks who might want to march with us? It will be fun and there's a party afterward for everyone who marches in the parade. Plus it will be great publicity for Hahamongna - the parade always draws a good crowd.
Please let me know. Thanks.
